She began her academic journey at the University of Illinois, earning a degree in Bioengineering. This strong scientific foundation led her to the prestigious University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class and earned a Women’s Dermatologic Society Fellowship for her research in cosmeceuticals. Dr. Brodsky completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Chicago Hospitals, further honing her skills under the mentorship of leading experts.
Board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2002, Dr. Brodsky established her own thriving private practice in 2007, creating a space where patients receive compassionate, comprehensive, and cutting-edge dermatological care.

A Passion for Sun Safety: The Pediatric Sun Protection Foundation, Inc
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Brodsky is a fervent advocate for sun safety, especially for children. In 2012, she founded the Pediatric Sun Protection Foundation, Inc. (PSPF), a non-profit organization with a mission to educate children and their families about the importance of sun protection and early detection of skin cancer.
A cornerstone of this initiative is The Sun Hero™ Program, developed in partnership with dermatological leaders like CeraVe and La Roche-Posay. This engaging program aims to instill lifelong sun-safe habits in children. Dr. Brodsky's commitment has brought sun safety education to significant platforms, including the annual Sun Safety Day at Wrigley Field, an event she initiated and has seen grow in impact.
